The Edmonton Consular Corps represents 23 countries, all vested in the building of economic, business, and social relationships with Albertans. All net proceeds will go toward the funding of the Edmonton Consular Corps Scholarship, University of Alberta, to support students wishing to study abroad.​​

The 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands is a truly historic event. It pays tribute to the sacrifice made by Canadian soldiers in the liberation of the Dutch people from the tyranny of the Nazis who occupied the country five years earlier. This will be the last time that actual living Canadian soldiers (the Liberators) and living Dutch-Canadians  (the Liberated) will be in attendance at a major commemoration.

The Edmonton Consular Corps has been a vibrant member of Edmonton’s Community for several decades.
 
The Corps is comprised of  Honorary Consuls who represent 23 different countries and whose jurisdictions represent over 2 million Albertans.   
 
The  mission of the Edmonton Consular Corps is to provide a forum for consuls in Edmonton by supporting fellow Consuls and Consulates in their respective diplomatic outreach, by building relationships with governments and community, and fostering business, educational and cultural endeavors.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Generally speaking, Consular Officers perform the following functions:
 
  • Represent their country and promote their country's trade within the Consular District
  • Assist and help protect nationals of the country they represent
  • Explain their country's policies and achievements in fields such as culture and tourism
  • Administer oaths, legalize foreign documents, and assist with passports, visas, and  other certificates
